(SOME FACTS ABOUT OUR NEW PRESIDENT)
INTRODUCTION:-
The new president of our country sh. RAM NATH KOVIND was born on 1 October 1945 in Kanpur Dehat , Uttar Pradesh . His father does farming for their live . He holds a Bachelors degree in commerce and a law from DAV College,kanpur university.
Career:-
After completing his law graduation ,
Sh. Ram nath Kovind went to Delhi to prepare for theall india civil
services examination. He passed this exam in his third attempt, but he did not join because of not getting IAS and thus started practicing lawas an independent advocate .
He Represents Central Government in the
Delhi High Court from 1977 to 1979 and
Also holds positon of Central Government standing counsel in the Supreme Court from 1980 to
1993.
In 1978, he cleared the advocate-on-
record exam of the Supreme Court of India. He practiced in both the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of india for about 16 years until 1993.
As an advocate he provided free legal aid service to weaker sections of society, women and the poor under the Free
Legal Aid Society initiative in New Delhi.
He also served as the personal assistant of Prime Minister of India Morarji Desai in
1977-1978 due to his active participation in emergency.
He joined the bhartiya janta party in 1991because of its gaining popularity of ram mandir movement .
He was made the President of the BJP Dalit Morcha between 1998 and 2002 and also the President of the' All-India
Koli Samaj.
He also served the task of national
spokesperson of the party. He donated his
ancestral home in Derapur village to the RSS for its social work .
He contested from Ghatampur and Bhognipur assembly constituencies of uttar pardesh on the BJP ticket but lost both
electionsand remains unactive till the modi wave. He tried his best to get the lok sabha ticket from kanpur dehat in 2014 but failed.
He was elected as a Rajya Sabha
MP from the seat of Uttar Pradesh in April
1994. He served a total of twelve years period , two consecutive terms, till March 2006. As a member of parliament he served on the board of Parliamentary Committee for Welfare of Sc/St, Home Affairs,
Petroleum and Natural Gas, Social Justice
and Empowerment, Law and Justice.
He also the positon of chairman of the Rajya Sabha House Committee. During his career as a parliamentarian, under the M.P. L.A.D. Scheme, he focused on education in rural areas by helping in construction of school buildings in Uttar Pradesh state.

He has served on management board
of Dr. B.R Ambedkar University, Lucknow and Also on the Board of Governors of IIM Calcutta.

Governor of bihar
On 8 August 2015, the President of India sh pranab mukherjee appointed sh Kovind as Governor of Bihar . On 16 August 2015, under the presence of the acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court, mr Iqbal Ahmad Ansari, Sh kovind administered the oath as the 36th Governor of Bihar. The function took place at Raj Bhawan, Patna.
As Governor, his work was praised for constituting a judicial commission to investigate irregularities in promotion of undeserving teachers, mis-management of funds and appointment of undeserving candidates in universities.

After nomination for the post of President of India, he made his resignation from his post of Governor of Bihar, and President of India sh Pranab Mukherjee accepted his resignation on 20 June 2017.

to other countries etc.
